Airport Director Abid Roohi told news agency ‘PTI’, “The pilot of the GoAir flight contacted Nagpur ATC to inform that one of the aircraft’s engines was facing a problem and he called the aircraft in an emergency at Nagpur airport. Requested to take off.

He said that apart from the crew members, there were 139 passengers on board the plane. “We declared it a full-scale emergency and made all necessary arrangements, including providing runways, fire brigade, doctors, ambulances, and the need for coordination with the police,” Roohi said.
